It's been two weeks since I last blogged. I honestly don't know where the time goes. I've been focusing on so many other projects I forgot to check in here. Hopefully you follow me on Instagram because I post there almost every day.
So, let's catch you up.
I've officially a Qualified TRX Instructor. I took a course in Calgary, two weeks ago, and am now able to teach classes. I won't be doing any TRX specific classes, right now, but will be using what I learned to coach at Orangetheory Fitness. It was a great course and I highly recommend it! I almost wish it was longer as I wanted to keep learning. The instructor kept us all engaged the entire day which I know can be difficult.
I've been busy finishing up my marathon coach certification and planning my next step with "On The Run Coaching." I have to get the business up and running, get my waiver forms, business cards, website etc. It's a lot but I'm excited! Running is my passion and I'm excited to share that with others. I've set up an Instagram page but haven't posted much yet. I want to wait until I get my certification before I do too much. I also need to find a graphic designer to design my logo. If you have any recommendations please send them my way!
I'm going to be doing some nutrition coaching. I've signed on with my friend Kim to talk about my goals moving forward. I have a pretty healthy relationship with food but I know I have some areas to work on. I just have to pick a date for our first meeting! Since Kim lives in NYC we will be chatting via Skype/Facetime which is exciting. I love technology!
I'm still working on my Orangetheory Fitness coaching certification. I'm recording my coaching video Wednesday so fingers crossed! I'm excited to officially be added to the coaching lineup!
I signed up for a few races today. London and I are heading to Vancouver just in time for the Vancouver Marathon, Unfortunately, our flight schedule doesn't allow me a chance to run my own race but I'll be joining London, and my niece Cloe, for the 2.5KM Kids' Race again this year. We did it last year and had a blast. I also signed us up for the Calgary Marathon Kids' Race and the 10K. I don't have a half marathon on the schedule until SeaWheeze, in August, which feels weird. Then again, I haven't run longer than a 10K since November. I've actually been running a lot lately. It's been AMAZING (even if it is hard to come back from an injury or a break!)
I am officially divorced. I got the judgement, last week, and our divorced was finalized earlier this month. Maybe I'll save my feelings on this for another post. I'm sure a few of you may be surprised.
Other than all that, I've been trying to focus all my free time on London. He's growing up so fast and I don't want to miss a thing. I just want to hang out with him all day, every day, so when he's with his dad I make sure to stay busy.
Hi, I'm Kaella, a single mom, reporter and avid runner. I love sharing my workouts, race-recaps, and experiences in group fitness class, with you. I also talk about my four-year-old son London a lot. I'm slightly obsessed with NYC, Starbucks and 5 Cent Candies.
