My Week At Orangetheory Fitness

Whoa, hi there! To say my life is a little crazy right now is an understatement; however, I am so happy right now!

I've spent the last week working at Orangetheory Fitness. I worked Monday 4:30-7 and then tried to get some sleep as Coach's try-outs and training started Tuesday.

Tuesday though Thursday was insane. We trained 9am to 5:30pm and then had homework that kept me up most nights until 12 or 1am.

Tuesday was also Mark's birthday (the studio owner) so a few of us took him out for supper. Working in fitness, in some capacity, has always been on my radar but it's definitely outside of my comfort zone. This was one of the toughest weeks mentally and physically. One day we even crushed FIVE back-to-back one-hour workouts. I burned a lot of calories this week and can already notice a difference in the speed my heart is recovering.

I'm so glad that I decided to move forward with this process. On Thursday night, the final people were selected. Only a few were selected to coach, some were cut, and two of us have one more requirement before we can move forward. I'll hopefully be able to complete that in the next few weeks. So, for now, I'm still working there but just not on the microphone (YET!)

OTF is exactly what I've been missing in my life!

Friday was our first day open (we have two weeks of trial classes) and I helped up front. It was awesome.
Then, it was back to work in the afternoon and my co-workers going-way party that night. I love Taylor (she's like a sister to me) and I'm going to miss her more than I can even put into words.
I worked, up front, Saturday 6am to 6pm and then headed out to a beer tasting event with some girlfriends.
Sunday, I was back at OTF 7:45am to 2:30pm then crushed a workout with some co-workers.
I finally got London back yesterday afternoon. Because of OTF training I haven't really seen him this week. It was hard and I missed him a lot!! Today, he officially starts hockey!! I booked off an hour from my shift at OTF so I can go watch him play. I can't wait!
How was your weekend?
Have you tried OTF? (COME TO MY CLASS!)
