Thinking Out Loud #62

Once again I'm linking up with Amanda for Thinking Out Loud. Check out the details in her first post if you're new around here.


1. What a month! Can I have a June do-over? Between my health issues, blood pressure problems, hospital visits and now, a leg injury, I think it would be fair to have a do-over. Seriously though, they're all little problems in the grand scheme of things but I definitely had a few extra pieces of chocolate Tuesday night (after my physiotherapist told me no running for at least a week) and then proceeded to buy myself a new pair of lulu crops. Because, if you can't run, you may as well look cute walking. I'm just not going to talk about what gaining 25 pounds means size wise :O

2. I'm currently moving all my photos off my laptop. My stepdad's computer died and since I don't use mine, except to store photos, I decided to give him mine. I thought about getting a wireless hard-drive but couldn't justify the cost right now. I snagged a 128 G stick for 20 dollars at Staples (score!)

3. I'm getting a little frustrated with a campaign partner. I was approached by a company, a few months ago, to work with them on a year-long campaign. There were many back-and-forth emails as the details for the inaugural program was being figured out and then eventually I had to sign a contract. It's been well over a month since I signed the contract but I still haven't hard a word about the next step. I've sent two, unanswered, emails and am getting a little annoyed. I love working with different companies but not when they waste my time.

4. Now, for some good blogger-mail news... I was contacted by one of my favourite companies to start a partnership with them!! I can't give away the details just yet but WOW am I blessed!!

5. Confession time: I haven't been to GoodLife Fitness in a couple months (I think?) My favourite group fitness class there is BodyPump but I just haven't made time to fit a class into my schedule. My doctor wants me to wait to do any "heavy lifting" until my next test at the hospital, June 29th, but then I can hopefully get back there and start building back some muscle!

6. I'm planning a girl's trip to Waterton!! Every Monday, I get together with my best girls to watch the Bachelorette (or Bachelor/Bachelor in paradise depending on what's airing) and we eat, drink, and catch-up. The time always flies by, too fast, so we decided to check some things off our summer bucket list and head to Waterton for a girl's camping trip!! We're heading there, next month, for two nights and I can't wait! So far, our plans include the Crypt Lake Hike and stand-up paddle-boarding! Oh, and at least one visit to Weiners because they have delicious giant hot dogs (falafel dog for me please!)

7. I'm finally getting my yard done! I hired two guys to install my fence posts and then I'm going to handle the top soil, laying sod and gravel. I likely won't do the fence until the fall, or next year, but at least I won't be that neighbour on the street anymore.

8. I'm taking my personal trainer course this week. I can't remember if I mentioned it or not but I switched gears from group fitness instructor to personal trainer. It's a better fit for what I want to do after I hopefully pass ;)  The course is three-days long followed by a written test and a practical exam. I'm a bit nervous but excited too!
