I bonded with you from the moment I saw the (faint) line on that pregnancy test. Yes, your dad was around but that's when this special bond with us began. I spent the few few months keeping you a secret. I would walk around holding my non-existent pregnancy belly and smile thinking about meeting you. When you kicked me, I would giggle. It was your way of saying hi.
The night before you were born I could hardly sleep I was so excited. When I heard your cries, and saw your face, for the first time I fell even more in love with you.
I never spent more than two hours away from you until you were 14 months old and I had to go back to work. Even then, I would leave the house as late as possible and rush home to soak up time together.
In April 2015, we became a team of two again. We moved into our new place and you spent the first few months sleeping with me. Heck, you still climb into bed with me anytime I'll let you.
You love to cuddle, share snacks and workout with me.
You love to go on adventures.
Although I don't know what the future holds I'm thankful for this time together.
Hi, I'm Kaella, a single mom, reporter and avid runner. I love sharing my workouts, race-recaps, and experiences in group fitness class, with you. I also talk about my four-year-old son London a lot. I'm slightly obsessed with NYC, Starbucks and 5 Cent Candies.
