Saturday, I was up at 6 in the hopes of getting my 90 minute workout in before London woke up. I had just finished my warm up when I heard him calling for me on the baby monitor. So, I ran upstairs and got him back to sleep and headed back to the basement. Sure enough, less than 10 minutes later he was up and wanted to join me in the basement. I set him up with his IPad, juice and snacks so I could run and only had to stop a few times to help him with something.
I finished 7.5 PAIN-FREE miles and was pumped! This was my longest run since hurting myself! Although my quad remained inflamed the rest of the day no pain is a start. This week will be another big test.
We ran some errands and then while London napped I did some core work and tidied up a bit.
We were both a bit restless in the late afternoon so we decided to go play some mini-golf before an evening hockey game. London was pretty excited he got a hole-in-one!
We go to a lot of hockey games but this one was so special! London was picked to go down to the concourse and high-five all the hockey players as they came off the ice from the warm-up and then take a selfie with the team captain, and his favourite player, Tyler Wong.
London can be quite shy, at times, but he was just BEAMING the whole time he was down there. As his mom, I'll never forget that.
Sunday didn't go as planned. I woke up at 4am feeling off. I had caught the stomach flu! Thankfully, London's dad offered to pick him up around 9am and I spent the rest of the day trying to feel better. I basically slept, on and off, all day and watched parts of several girly movies playing on the W network (The First Daughter, Easy A, Legally Blonde 1 and 2.)
It was a rough one!
Thankfully, im feeling much better today. I'm glad it was only a 24 hour bug! I have a busy day ahead and I need to get some food in me!
