I had planned on writing this post, last night, but Jarod and I decided to take London to see our local hockey team.
We try and go to most of their home games and it's always nice to do things as a family. London had fun but wanted to leave after the first period (we were there an hour early) so we came home, read books and called it a night at 8 o'clock! Yep, I go to bed between 8 and 9:30 so I can wake up between 4:15 and 4:30 to workout.
Other than that, my weekend consisted of two yoga classes, my first run with marathon club (8 miles) and cleaning/laundry/meal prep. I also treated myself to a sports massage, pedicure and laid on the couch for a few hours Saturday which was lovely and just what I needed.
So, my running coach and I have been working together since December 12th. I can honestly say, I wouldn't be where I am right night without her help. Getting injured SUCKS but, if you're smart about recovery, you can stay on track. The Vancouver Marathon (my GOAL race) is only 96 days away and, while I'm not where I would like to be, I'm getting there. Suz and I talked about making a decision about the race at the end of the month. Well, Friday is the end of the month.
A) Continue training for a sub 4
B) Continue training to finish strong
C) Drop down to the Half Marathon & pick a fall marathon
Honestly, I'm fine whatever we decide. I want to run FOREVER and I'm not going to push myself or try and speed up my recovery just for one race. Either way, I'll be at the Vancouver Marathon on May 1st and I can't wait to run another race in my hometown!
Anyway, I'll let you know soon what we decide.
I'm REALLY excited about tonight. Monday=Bachelor Night with my girls!!
Oh, and congratulations to Alycia! She won my GoodLife Fitness membership giveaway! YAY!
Hi, I'm Kaella, a single mom, reporter and avid runner. I love sharing my workouts, race-recaps, and experiences in group fitness class, with you. I also talk about my four-year-old son London a lot. I'm slightly obsessed with NYC, Starbucks and 5 Cent Candies.
