Christmas, The Holidays and The First Weekend of the New Year

Please bear with me, this is going to be a little long and contain lots of photos. I started this blog so I would have my moments with London captured online. I know I mostly talk about running/training but I still like to include some of our special family moments. This is also a few days late. I enjoyed my mini-blogging break :)

I spent the two days leading up to Christmas with my dad and stepmom in Calgary.

My blogger-friend turned real-life friend Ange even joined us for Christmas Eve!

So, London and I were re-united Christmas Night at the airport. It felt amazing to have him back home.

We spent the night at my Dad's place in Calgary before flying to Vancouver.

We spent the week soaking up time with family. (My step-dad got a selfie stick, haha!)

I got in a few workouts.

Our New Year's Eve was celebrated at 4pm (English New Year's) at a local pub and then we watch the Times Square ball drop at 9pm local time before I put London to bed.

We flew home on the 1st and I already miss everyone so much.

London's daddy picked us up at the airport and we grabbed some supper and spent a couple hours at our place. While they played I packed up all the Christmas decorations, and tree, and tidied up a bit.
Saturday morning, we worked out. I had 45 minutes of walking hills and a 1 mile run on the schedule. London joined me for a few minutes, on his treadmill, and then watched a show and ate breakfast while I did the rest.

We went to the mall to play in the arcade and grab a few things and then spent the afternoon at the theatre watching "The Three Little Pigs" which was so cute and fun!

We also picked up London's new spin bike and I put that together and then dropped off seven bins of his old clothes. It feels good to have those gone (although a little sad too!)

Sunday morning I put away A LOT of laundry and then re-organized the basement. Then, London and I headed out for a bike ride/park to the park to get some fresh air.

We met up with Jarod in the afternoon and saw the new Chipmunks movie (so cute!)

I spent the evening meal prepping.  My goal is to NOT eat out for the entire month of January. I know I can do it but it'll be a challenge.

I hope you had a wonderful holiday season...and weekend! I'll be back to more regular posting soon!

  1. Looks like lots of fun! The not eating out part might get easier and easier- and the extra $$ at the end makes it worth it!
