For now, let's talk about the weekend! I'm apparently catching up on sleep after a week in the Big Apple. Running a marathon, traveling, walking 70+ miles all while fighting a bug took a toll. I had an amazing time though and can't wait to share the recap and other vacation details this week!
I'm back at work now so I need to catchup on my 2800 emails. I wish I was exaggerating.
So, Friday I took the day off work. I sent London to daycare and spent the day cleaning my house, doing laundry and unpacking. The only thing I didn't unpack was a small bag with all my marathon memorabilia (bib, copy of the NY Times, medal, shirt, photos etc.) I'm not sure what I want to do with them yet. I would love to create a memory frame but need to think about it.
I tried going for a run but gave up, two minutes in, when my leg muscles got angry. I decided to foam roll instead. I need a sports massage asap.
I picked London up from daycare at 4 and let him pick our adventure. He chose a movie so we headed to see The Peanuts Movie which was super cute!! We spent some time in the theatre arcade before heading home for supper and an early bedtime.
We slept until about 7:30 but laid in bed watching cartoons for a bit before heading out for breakfast. We are still working on potty training and, since he was doing so well at home, k decided to let him go without a diaper. Despite constantly asking him to go pee he peed his pants. Thankfully, I came prepared with a change of clothes. I'm glad we are making some progress though! He only had one other accident all weekend.
We spent the rest of the day going for a Starbucks date, playing toys and colouring. We ended up going to a hockey game after supper.
Again, we were in bed by 8:30.
I was up around 6:30 but London slept until almost 8:45!! I showered and had breakfast while he was still sleeping. He's also fighting a cold so I blame that!
Once we got moving, we met friends for a coffee date before heading off for another play date at the park! I can't believe this is November in Canada (although snow is in the forecast now!!)
Then it was time for a much-needed nap (how cute is he?!)
While he slept, I managed to run 4 miles followed by lots of foam rolling!!
After a quick business call, we met his daddy for some skating!
Have I mentioned lately how thankful I am to have a kick-ass co-parent?
Then, supper and ice cream cake for Jarod's birthday and lots of playing! We learned London is definitely my child and super competitive... Even when it comes to candy land! He is cute!
It was a really fun night and hard to come home to an empty house! Thankfully, I have London every night now until I leave for VEGAS Friday! Yep, another trip for me! I'm running the Rock N Roll 5K and Half Marathon and can't wait! Who else is heading there?
I hope you had a great weekend!!
