Friday, I picked him up from daycare and we headed to a local churchs' lasagna supper fundraiser. I had the vegetarian and he had the chicken and they were both delicious! They also had salad, garlic bread, and ice cream.
After supper, we headed downtown for the Bright Lights event. They had tons of lights, free hot drinks and popcorn, movies playing on a big screen and sleigh rides!
It was cold so we only stayed about 45 minutes. We warmed up at a nearby Starbucks and grabbed a new Christmas book before heading home. He talked about the "horses" pulling the sleigh the whole way home!
For the past couple weeks, London has been slowly showing more interest in potty training. When we woke up Saturday, I decided to just go for it and put him in underwear. He was excited!
We had two accident-free days!! He's just in a pull up at night but wakes up dry. I'm such a proud mama!!
Back to Saturday, we headed to Home Depot to pick out our Christmas tree. Since he's with his daddy this year I wanted to decorate early so we could enjoy it together before he leaves for Saskatchewan.
It turned out awesome!
While London napped, I ran 6 miles on the treadmill. My quad is still bugging me so I'm looking forward to my massage appointment in a few days.
That night, we drove to the mall to welcome Santa!
He didn't want to sit with him but he did want to get his face painted!
Sunday morning, we cleaned. Our house desperately needed a good scrub so we spent a couple hours doing that. I also wanted to pick up some groceries so we headed out to Safeway for food and Starbucks.
We also picked up flowers because London told me I needed some. He's going to treat someone very well someday ;)
I really want to try and clean up my diet a little so the first step is doing some food prep. Veggies are a must!
While he napped I did a quick 30 minute workout (1 mile and 20 minutes of strength.)
I also had to tackle a mountain of laundry. It's done but not put away!
I dropped London off for a couple hours with his dad while I met some friends for a movie. We saw Mockingjay Part 2 and I really enjoyed it (and the popcorn/girl talk!)
After picking London up, it was back home for a bath, painting our nails (he's obsessed) and bedtime.
How was your weekend?
What's the last movie you saw in theatres?
Movie popcorn or movie candy?
If you celebrate... Real or artificial Christmas tree?
