Training For The NYC Marathon- My Last Double-Digit Training Run & Week 15

It's hard to believe that I can now say next week I'm running a marathon. NEXT WEEK!! Ahhh!!

I've officially entered taper and already am convinced I have an ear infection, a tickle in my throat oh and I have a slight ache in my foot and my hip. This, my friends, is what I was warned about. TAPER CRAZIES!! Thanks to your lovely recommendations, I upped my Vitamin D intake, am drinking Emergen-C and using some SAGE oils (on top of washing and sanitizing my hands ALL the time!) I've also been in bed by 8:30 every day this week. It helps I have a toddler who wants me to lay in bed with him, and close my eyes, while he falls asleep.

Let's take a quick look at last week. Again, my strength training has completely SUCKED the last month. Ugh, I know. Oh well, it's NOT the time to go crazy. I've been doing a little core work and that's it. #fail

To be honest, my normal pace has felt a little tough lately. I'm not sure why but I'm hoping things will feel a little easier soon. It's all mental though, right? I just have to convince my mind that I can run 26.2 miles and I can run it at a pace that I know I'm capable of (while still having fun!)

Monday- 5 Miles RR
Tuesday- OFF (Flex Day)
Wednesday- 6 Miles Tempo
Thursday- 4 Miles RR
Friday- OFF
Saturday-7 Miles PLR
Sunday- OFF
