Anyway, I really wanted to soak up this weekend with London so we kept busy!
Friday night, we headed to the hockey game with his dad. I had interviewed some of the guys earlier for work and one of them skated over and tossed him a pick during the warmup. He was pumped!! He actually found another puck, under his seat, and I was pretty proud when he handed it off to another kid!
Saturday morning, we took advantage of free day at the theatre and saw Despicable Me 2. We ate breakfast before the 9:15 showing but he insisted on popcorn and I can't say no. #carbloading
While he napped, I got in my last long run of my training cycle- 7 miles! My hip and foot are still giving me a little issue but In hoping this weeks' Chiro, Physio and Massage appointments will help get rid of some of the tenderness and help me push through.
After nap, it was off to a local gymnastics place where we had a blast jumping on the trampoline and into a giant foam pit!
We will be back!
After a quick trip to Costco for cheap fruit we took some bread to feed the ducks at the pond. He kept yelling at the Seagulls to leave some for the ducks. Sharing is caring, haha!
Then, it was back home for a quiet night in.
Sunday, we slept in a bit (7:30) and took our time getting up. We started the day skyping with our family in Vancouver before heading to take in our recycling and for our weekly Starbucks date. While he napped, I did laundry and started packing for NYC. I was going to bring a smaller suitcase but, who am I kidding, I'll be doing some shopping while I'm there!
After his nap, we headed to a new-to-us indoor mini golf place. It was two dollars for 9 holes but we had a coupon so it was free.
We ended up winning another coupon on the last hole so we will be back here too (nice to have some ideas for when the weather turns cold!)
We played in the nearby arcade before grabbing a frozen yogurt and pizza to take home for supper.
We couldn't leave before making a trip to the thrift store, next door, to grab some throw away clothes for NYC. I bought a pair of fleece pj pants and zip up hoodie from the men's section for 10 bucks.
We had a bath, after supper, and then played with his toys from "Inside Out" before we put on a movie and cuddles.
It was a great weekend with my favourite person! I'm so lucky to be his mommy!
How was your weekend?
