London's 3rd Birthday Party, 19 miles and It Felt Normal- Weekend In Review

This weekend was packed (like usual) but so fun!

Friday after work I spent two hours running around getting the rest of the stuff for London's Saturday morning party. I ran into Costco for a few things and left with a full cart (including a CrockPot and beautiful glass vase.) You win again Costco.

After unpacking, I headed over to my friend Melissa's house to catchup. She just returned from a month of backpacking in Europe and I loved hearing about all her crazy adventures! I was only slightly disappointed to hear her boyfriend (of almost 8 years) didn't put a ring on it ;) We ended up drinking wine, eating candy and ice cream and watching Nick Carter (her other bf) on Dancing With The Stars.

She brought back this gorgeous bracelet, for me, from Europe. It's perfect and I haven't taken it off since!

I was up early Saturday to get ice, pickup the cake and set up the party. Since I wanted it to be a surprise for London I did everything myself in an hour. I was sweating! It turned out great and the look on his face when he walked in was pretty awesome!

We used Amy from Sugar Bake shop for the cake, cupcakes and cake pops and she knocked it out of the park!!

Once the kids began arriving they headed to the pool for about an hour and a half. They all had a blast! I stayed in the room and visiting with some of the parents.

We had pizza for lunch, then dug into the cake before starting on presents.

We invited a few of London's friends from daycare and it turned out to be the best decision! We got to see how they interact (so cute) and meet their parents!

Thank you to everyone that was able to come help us celebrate and to Melissa, Danielle (and Ian) for staying to help me clean up!!!

I had 13 miles on the schedule that day and I was exhausted. As much as I wanted to skip it it wasn't an option. It was a struggle but I did it.

I think it helped I had some shows to catch up on and my new NYC Marathon shoes to break in!! How awesome are these?!

I watched Magic Mike XXL and called it an early night.

Sunday I was up early (5:45) so I threw in some laundry and decided to get my run (6 miles) done. It turned out to be a great decision as it started snowing about 15 minutes after I finished! Running
19 miles total, so close together, isn't ideal and my legs (and hips) were angry after!

Now, usually Sunday nights are family night and J and I do something together with London. Today, he decided to bring him over in the morning and we spent the day together. It was really nice and felt normal. I love that we get a long so great!

We played toys and had a dance party all before lunch.

While Londom napped, I finished my book and J watched football. PS if you haven't read this book go get it now. I was laughing out loud!

After nap, we headed to see the Bubble Guppies live show! London was obsessed with that tv show for ages. I swear we have seen every episode multiple times. He hasn't been watching it lately so I was sure what to expect. Thankfully, he loved it! He was dancing, singing and clapping the entire time and had a smile plastered on his face!

I loved it too (probably because I knew all the songs.)

We came home, had supper and called it an early night. London has a cold and I am just tired. Marathon training... I tell you!

How was your weekend?
