Training For The NYC Marathon- Week 10

I officially kicked off Week 10 of marathon training yesterday. It's CRAZY to think I'll toe the line of my first 26.2 miles in 6 weeks. Sometimes it makes me want to throw up a little! I did have my first race-induced nightmare last night. I was late to the start because I was watching Aladdin on Broadway. 

Here's a look at my workouts the past two weeks:

Week 8:

Monday, August 31st

1 Hour Body Pump Class at GoodLife Fitness

8 Miles Intervals 1:11:12 8:54/pace

Thursday, September 3rd

OFF (Lion King in Calgary)

Friday, September 4th


Saturday, September 5th

12 Miles 1:50:30 9:12/pace


Week 9:

Monday, September 7th

6 Miles 53:53 8:59/pace

Tuesday, September 8th


Wednesday, September 9th

16 Miles 2:26:37 9:09/pace
45 Minute Massage

Thursday, September 10th


Friday, September 11th

4 Miles 35:52 8:58/pace

Saturday, September 12th

3 Miles 27:02 9:01/pace

I'm on another drop week so no "big" runs this week. I'm also hoping to incorporate more at-home strength work since that took a back seat lately. 

Monday: 4 Miles, Chiro & Sports Massage Appointments
Tuesday: Bums & Tums Class and Body Pump
Wednesday: 7 Miles Tempo
Thursday: 3 Miles Easy Run
Friday: OFF
Saturday: 12 Miles
