Thinking Out Loud #33

Once again, I'm linking up with Amanda for Thinking Out Loud. If you don't know how it works check out her first post. Basically, it's a chance for you to get all your random thoughts out and then link up with others doing the same.

1. I'm writing this at 7:45 in the morning because I had another crazy day at work and was awake until after midnight following leads for a story in working on. It's been very busy the last two weeks with lots of horrible, and sad, news to report on. I'm excited for some down time this weekend. I may even shut off my phone ;)

2. We had promo shoots at work this week. It was fun to get my makeup done (hello fake eyelashes!) London got to be a part of them too and he was adorable! He even nailed his line! I'm one proud mama :)

3. Waterton, here we come! London and I are heading to Waterton this weekend for a blogger's retreat. I'll be recapping our adventures after but I'll be posting all weekend on my Instagram page. You can follow the others using the hashtags #ABBloggersRetreat #AlbertaAdventureGirls
and #MyWaterton. We have a lot of fun things planned and I'm excited for my first trip there!

4. It's time to bite the bullet on NYC accommodations. I've been checking hotels, every day, for deals but there just aren't any during the marathon. I'm booking today! I've always stayed near Times Square/Central Park so I think I may switch it up this time (at least for a few of the days!)

5. I need a manicure. I haven't had my nails done in ages but I'm thinking of doing something "fun" for the marathon. I've been growing them out for a couple weeks and looking on google images for some ideas.

6. London starts swimming tonight! He's now in the group where they swim by themselves (with their instructor) and parents sit and watch. I'm going to miss interacting with my little fish but I think it'll be really good for him. It's technically Jarod's night but we are going to take him together and then go for supper after. Co-parenting superstars ;)

Throwback to baby London's first time in the pool!

7. I ran 18 miles last night! It was my longest run ever. My hip was a little irritated towards the end so I'm going to head back to the Chiropractor for another adjustment. I also have a sports massage Monday. Marathon training is tough on your body!! Oh, and I also had my first ice-bath. It burns for about 15 seconds but then you don't want to get out because it feels amazing!

Okay, that's all I have time for today since I should probably get to work!

I hope you have a great day and I'll be back Monday to re-cap our weekend adventures!
