Thinking Out Loud #32

Once again, I'm linking up with Amanda for Thinking Out Loud. If you don't know how it works check out her first post. Basically, it's a chance for you to get all your random thoughts out and then link up with others doing the same.
1. I'm running SeaWheeze next year! Yesterday's registration was crazy! I had two computers logged on about 15 minutes before it opened at 10am. With Melissa in Europe, she asked me to register her as well. I crossed my fingers and hoped her and I, and the dozen-or-so other friends I knew were trying, got in! I had a BLAST at SeaWheeze last month (hello new half marathon PR!) and can't wait to be back next year!
2. I'm going to try and keep my destination races to two for 2016. This year, I ran PhoenixSeattle, SeaWheeze and will be running the NYC Marathon and Run Rock N Roll Half Marathon & 5K in Vegas November. Races add up. I have my eye on the LA Marathon, Rock N Roll San Diego or a Run Disney event for 2016 Which destination races are you running this year?

3. Ever struggle to find motivation to workout? Of course you do. We ALL do. Finances, lack of time, fatigue and other commitements all stand in the way of working out. GoodLife Fitness has launched a campaign talking about that very struggle. Make It Happen is all about sharing the stories of people who have overcome their struggles to achieve their health and fitness goals. Need motivation, or know someone who does?  Visit the Landing Page and get inspired then share your own success stories and words of encouragement using #makeithappen on social media.

4. London and I are going to be in a commercial. Every year, for work, we shoot new 15/30 second spots that run, on the network, throughout the day. On average, about eight times in a 24 hour period. They're a chance for our viewers to get to know us. Over the past twelve years my commercials have been a mix of everything; from hard hitting spots on crime scene, to shots of me volunteering at a camp in California to behind-the-scenes interviews. I'm so excited to be sharing the spotlight with London! Fingers crossed he has fun too!
5. This has been a tough week at work. I've been out of town, since Monday, covering the abduction turned murder of a toddler and murder of her father. I don't know what to say except I'm so lucky to be holding my boy in my arms this morning.

Alright, that's all I have time for today. Have a wonderful weekend!

  1. Sea wheeze is craziness to register for! Maybe one year. You'll have to share your commercial once it is done :)
