Airshow, Girls Night and #TheGibblers- Weekend In Review

I'm writing this Sunday night and I'm working off three hours of sleep so please excuse any grammar and spelling mistakes ;)

Friday night I planned to go to the Airshow but was forced to stay home. I ended up watching a portion from my deck, doing a quick PUMP workout and then had a long over-due, much-needed, chat with my best friend.

I slept in Saturday until about 8am and headed out for my 9 mile long run shortly after. I kept it at a regular run pace with a fun pick-up strides (of about 15 seconds) every mile or so. My newest Pro Compression socks arrived just in time for me to wear them.

After the run, I quickly showered and headed out to run some errands. I ended up catching the afternoon Airshow performances.

Melis and I walked around the grounds and chatted with a few of the pilots I had interviewed earlier in the week for work.

They asked for some recommendations of local places to go so we mentioned a few spots including the pub/bar we were planning to go to later that night.

I then headed over to a friend's house for a bbq supper. They had a bunch of couples, and their children, there and it was nice to visit with everyone. Sadly, it was cut short as I had to head to Melissa's for 8:30 to start getting ready for our girl's night.

We headed out to play a game of pool (we won, no big deal) and then made our way to the bar. Our girlfriend, Tijana, joined us and we had fun drinking and dancing the night away. Some of our Airshow friends showed up later and we hung out with them for awhile before heading to a nearby club to dance some more.

At one point, I thought it would be a good idea to pretend to unzip Melissa's "front-zip" dress and accidentally undid the whole thing! As she (briefly) stood there with her bra and underwear exposed we all couldn't help but laugh. We all had tears in her eyes, including her, thank god! It didn't help she was standing on one of the speakers at the front at the time. Sorry again Melis. I'm STILL laughing writing this!

We had a problem finding a cab and ended up walking for a long time. I was wearing heels so my feet were a little sore by the end. We hung out for awhile before calling it a night. I think I finally fell asleep around 5am (the time I'm usually waking up to run haha!)

Today (Sunday) started off as a write-off. I woke up at 8 and couldn't fall back asleep. I wasn't feeling too hot so I laid in bed for a few hours. I grabbed a quick snack before doing some laundry, getting my car and picking up groceries.

Around 3:30, I met London and his dad for a game of mini-golf. I missed the little guy this weekend.

I spent the rest of the day just hanging out with London. The highlight was biking bikes to the park and playing soccer. I can't wait to register him for the fall!

How was your weekend?
When was the last time you stayed up really late?
