Thinking Out Loud #14

Time to link up with Amanda for "Thinking Out Loud." If you don't know how it works check out her first post. Basically, it's a chance for you to get all your random thoughts out and then link up with others doing the same.

1. I booked my flights for New York City!!! I still get incredibly nervous when I think about running a marathon but I think that's because I haven't started training. Now, that my flights, and hotels, are booked it is started to feel real. Now, I just have to decide what else to do while I'm there (besides running a marathon of course!) ;)
2. I have a new Netflix addiction. Since, I don't have cable I've been spending my London-free time watching The Mindy Project. I feel like I can relate to the main character. I'm a sucker from romantic comedies and sometimes have unrealistic expectations of love. I have been binge-watching the show and am almost done season 1 after just three nights.

3. This Post about working moms had me crying at my desk. I actually wrote a draft about something similar, last night, but haven't decided whether or not to publish it. It's raw people!! Plus, it's totally out of my usually posting comfort zone.
4. I'm planning on buying London this bike. I don't have the money saved up, right now, but I think he would love it. We spend most of our nights walking, or running, to the park and I would love to teach him how to ride a bike. He has a Striker now but I want him to practice on something with pedals. Plus, I'm pretty sure he would lose his mind over a hockey bike!!
5. There are only 6 days left in my online auction. To date, I'm close to 900 dollars raised in bids and 1100 dollars online. I would LOVE to see it get to 2000 total before April 30th. There are still a few items that don't have bids. I would love if I could find them all homes. Please consider making a making a bid HEREmaking a donation to my Team For Kids page HERE or sharing with family and friends. Your support is appreciated!! I promise to stop spamming you with requests soon!! I'm almost at my fundraising goal!

6. My dining room table, that a friend built for me, is arriving tomorrow. I can't wait to have a proper place to sit down and eat again! My new house is slowly starting to feel like home. I still have to hang a few things, design a gallery wall and find, and paint, dining room chairs. I would also LOVE a headboard but don't want to pay 300-500 dollars! I'm hoping to recruit some handy DIY friends to help me create something on my budget.

7. I'm so happy London is home. We went to see the Harlem Globetrotters last night and had a blast!

I hope everyone has a great weekend!!  Marathon club, Saturday, includes 11 miles and the weather is supposed to be gorgeous! I can't wait!
