I'm a little late with this today because I'm not at work. Daycare is closed so London, mom and I are enjoying a day together.
London was at Jarod's this weekend so mom and I kept ourselves busy until he came home this morning.
To be honest, I couldn't look at social media, yesterday, when almost everyone seemed to be posting photos of their children doing Easter-related activities. Every time I thought of London it took my breath away. I missed him more than I can even begin to explain.
I was able to pick him up Thursday from daycare and spend the night with him. I love his daycare. They always make a big deal out of every holiday.
We didn't do much Friday night. Saturday, we were up really early to drive to Calgary. We went to Target, Apple, Best Buy, Bouclaire and IKEA. I needed a lot of things for the house and we managed to, almost, get them all!
We came back to Lethbridge for 4 and quickly ran to Benjamin Moore and Costco. We were home by 6 and immediately poured ourselves a drink and started building.
We were in bed by midnight and up, again, around 7:30 to tackle our long to-do list. We built tables, painted about six items, hung photos and cleaned and organized. There's still work to be done but I'm so happy with how the house looks.
I'll post more photos soon!
We got cleaned up, around 4, and headed out for Easter supper. Everything was amazing but the "Sex In A Pan" was the highlight!
This morning, I was up at 7 and headed to Jarod's to pick up London. We were both so excited to see each other! He came home to see the Easter Bunny had been here. He knew exactly what to do!
His bedroom got a hockey-themed makeover while he was gone and his expression, when he saw it, was something I'll never forget! We spent some time reading books in there before heading out to do some recycling and grocery shopping.
Of course, we had to bake cookies too!
London is napping right now and mom and I are just relaxing.
Mom leaves tonight. It's been amazing having her here for almost two weeks! She's been a HUGE help with the house and it's been nice to have the company now that I'm in my own place. I'm going to miss her so much!
I hope everyone had a great Easter!'
