A 5K Race, Children's Festival & Garmin-Free Running

This weekend flew by, but don't they always?!

Friday night, London and I headed to a nearby lake, with my coworkers, for some Bocce Ball. It was a gorgeous night and we spent a couple hours enjoying the sunshine and playing.

It was PJ Day, at daycare, and I forgot to bring a change of clothes 😂

Saturday morning, I had my first 5K race of the year. You can read my race recap HERE.  I was happy with my time and enjoyed getting back out there after a few weeks off.

From there, we headed to a local Children's festival. They had on-stage entertainment, games, a petting zoo and bouncy castles! London loved the bouncy castles and would have gone in it a few more times if the lineup wasn't so long!

After a quick nap, we headed to a local market then Chapters to play with the trains and buy some new books.

London loves reading books before bedtime and I couldn't resist these two!

We ended the night watching Despicable Me! He loved it (and I did too!)

We were both sleepy after a busy day!

This morning, we woke up early and headed to a nearby indoor swimming pool. They have huge water slides and London loves them! It's always hard convincing him it's time to leave.

I spent the afternoon trying to fix my broken treadmill (no luck!)

Then, headed out for a much-needed 8 mile run. I ended up doing mile repeats since the city recently added new steps to one of my favourite hills!

My Garmin, and my phone, ended up dying around the 6 mile mark so I headed home but not before soaking in this view one last time.

How was your weekend?
Did anyone else run or race? How was it?

Good luck to everyone running Boston tomorrow!!!!
