Training Tuesday- Phoenix Half Marathon Week #8

If you read my weekend in review you'll know that I'm still sick and my training hasn't gotten back on track. I talk to Jarod about it this weekend and he said I need to do a better job of being honest about how I'm really feeling regarding that and training.

I try to keep everything, on here, positive but he's right. The fact is, I'm pissed off that I'm not able to run like I would like. I'm frustrated that I put 5 weeks into training my butt off, to PR, only to have everything fall apart. I know, running isn't everything but I don't like losing control of a situation. Is that better, Jarod? ;) 

Anyway, I DID manage to get in my long run this week so I'll celebrate that success!! Plus, it's officially taper time.
Now, back to positive thoughts!! 

PR or not, I'm going to focus on ENJOYING the Phoenix Half Marathon and having an awesome vacation with London and mom.

  1. Thanks for the honesty. I don't always admit publicly when I feel down, off or unhappy, about running or otherwise but I think it's important to share that life isn't always perfect.
    That's awesome you got in 10 miles!! Nice job!

    I should really do one of the Phoenix runs one year since my ILs have a place down there= babysitting!! I'm excited to hear how it goes!
