Weekend In Review- Long Run, Hockey Game & Two Play dates

Friday night we kept it fairly low-key with numerous games of mini sticks and cuddles. It was perfect! I fell asleep, putting London to bed, at 8:30 and didn't wake up until almost 12 hours later. I never sleep that long! I must have needed it!

Saturday morning, I had a 9 mile run on my Phoenjx half training plan. With a -25 windchill, and icy roads, I opted for the treadmill. I downloaded two new episodes of Suits to keep me entertained. I'm not going to lie, this one was tough! I had to stop three times to walk and struggled through every mile. I'm glad I pushed through it though!

After my run, I headed out to meet a friend for coffee. I ended up dropping my phone and smashing my screen and my new "New York, I Love You Case!" Thankfully, I purchased extended warranty, so my new phone only cost me 160 bucks.

I spent the afternoon with London and then we headed to a hockey game with Jarod.

London got a hockey puck from his favourite player so he was pumped!!

Sunday, London and I had two play dates. The first with Tawnya and Scarlett in the morning. The kids did some parallel play while T and I chatted. I always love our visits!

After boycotting a nap (well, a nap longer then 20 minutes) we spent some time
watching a movie before heading to another friend's for a playdate.

Ava, she will be two next month, and London chased each other around the house while the adults watched the football game and snacked. We all had a blast! (I forgot to take photos!)

London was out two minute after we got into the car and even stayed asleep through a transfer and diaper/pj change. I ended up waking him up so he didn't wake up at 5am but then he wanted to party all night! Kids, haha!

It was a great weekend and went by way too fast, of course!

Have an awesome Monday!!'

  1. Great job on the treadmill run!! I walk way more than normal when I run on the treadmill. It's not easy!

Kids never nap when we need them to, do they? Sounds like some successful play dates though!
