Thinking Out Loud #2

Once again, I'm linking up with Amanda for "Thinking Out Loud."
If you don't know how it works check out her first post. Basically, it's a chance for you to get all your random thoughts out and then link up with others doing the same.

1. I'm not sure how I'm going to afford all my trips this year. I've signed up for a lot of destination races and they require me to pay for flights, hotels and food while I'm there. Plus, since they're all (mostly) new vacation spots I will likely want to do some sightseeing. Time to start really watching my spending.

2. On that note, I booked my flights to Chicago!!! I'm running the Rock N Roll Half Marathon on July 18th and hoping to make it a girls trip with my best friend Court! She is so supportive of everything I do, including my running, and says she doesn't mind cheering me on at races as long as she gets to carb-load (and cannoli-load) with me the night before.

3. I feel like I hardly ever see my friends anymore. I realize we get together on Monday's for Bachelor but I miss spontaneous coffee/lunch/supper/walk dates. I miss my girl time. Plus, it's hard that so many of my close friends live in other cities/provinces. I think everyone is just so busy with life.  I run everyday, work full-time and I want to spend the three hours, at night, I get with London at home. I just need to work on finding that balance everyone talks about....

4. Speaking of Bachelor nights. They really are the best. I love that our group has grown over the last few years. Not everyone can make it, each week, but we always have a great group of ladies. I think I laugh more, Monday nights, than I do all week.

5. I forgot how much I love running with London. We did our first stroller run, of the year, Tuesday night and had a blast! I kept asking him if he wanted to go home and he kept saying "no, this is fun!" Plus, he kept yelling "faster mommy, faster!" We did almost 2 miles before we lost the sunlight and had to head home for supper.

6. I want a hug. Like right now. Seriously, aren't they the best?

And, that's all I have time for today. I hope you have a great Thursday!

What's on your mind lately?
What's your favourite thing to eat before a race?
How often do you see your friends?
