A long weekend, 90's dance party & Winter has arrived! -- Weekend in Review (plus, a video!)

How's that for long title? :P

I took Friday off work as I have some vacation days I have to use before the end of the year. It was a perfect day! I need to do that more often! That night, we celebrated Jarod's 29th birthday and then I took London to a hockey game! I can't get enough of him singing O' Canada and shuffling his feet like the players. This boy loves his hockey!

Saturday, I was up bright and early to drive the two hours to Calgary to cheer on my friend, and co-worker, Taylor at her first fitness competition. She totally killed it and her hard work, dedication and commitment paid off! She ended up placing third in her division!

 I'm so proud of her!

I ended up driving home somewhat late Saturday and was glad I beat the freezing rain and snow. Unfortunately, my awesome night (including a pretty great 90's dance party!!) was cut short as my Crohn's started to flare. This is my second bad flare this month and my stomach still hasn't settled 24 hours later. I ended up taking a bunch of medicine and going to bed much earlier than I would have liked!!

Sunday, I had plans to run but I couldn't get my stomach on board. Running and upset stomachs do not mix. So, I braved the wintery weather and grabbed a tea and visited with a friend for a few hours while London napped. Melissa had her first craft sale this weekend and did amazing! Her infinity scarves are gorgeous and they are selling like crazy

By the time I got home, London and Jarod were up from their naps. We quickly cleaned the house and headed out as we had a showing. Jarod went grocery shopping while London and I went to Starbucks for treats. He spent the whole trip flirting with girls, at the next table, and demanding silly-face selfies. He's the cutest!

When we got home we made a fort and alternated between reading books and playing hockey. It was the perfect end to an amazing weekend!!

I'm hoping my stomach is better tomorrow as I really need to get some miles in before my two races this month (a 10 K and a half.)

I hope you had a great weekend too!

Here's a short cute (funny) video that melts my heart!

Edited to add: I wrote this post while cuddling a sleeping London. We have been like this for an hour and I have no
plans to leave anytime soon! I love these little moments!!
