Things I'm Loving Lately 24

1. Baking/Cooking with London

London loves helping in the kitchen. My mom bought him a little stepping stool. from Ikea, and he insists on pushing it around the kitchen to check out what I'm doing. I've started to let him help me a lot more. (He says "me help mommy?) He LOVES it!

2. Anything NYC Marathon related

I can't get enough of all the NYC Marathon blogs, tweets and articles lately! I have a few friends running it and I can't wait to cheer them on! I already signed up for tracking and plan to watch it live online. I am entering the 2015 lottery (the day it opens!!) and hope to be gearing up to run the race this time next year!

Check out my friend Kim's blog post on her thoughts leading up to race day (I may have teared up reading it!!)

Also, I am adding this book to my Christmas Wish List!!!

3. These Lulu Pants

Okay, so these limited edition pants are only being released in NYC Lululemon stores for the marathon. I think they need to sell them online! The skyline on the pants is pretty much the coolest thing ever!! Jen, you need to buy a pair (or two!!!) ;). I AM OBSSESSED!

4. Running

There was about two months there where I wasn't running like I used to. I recorded the lowest mileage I had run in years. I wasn't making time for it and I certainly wasn't pushing myself. This weekend. I ran because I wanted to. I ran because I missed it and because I remembered how it makes me feel. I need to work on finding a balance when it comes to running (and racing!) Running used to be my escape from certain things. Now, I want it to be something I do for me.

5. Friendships (New and Old)

Going through a divorce is the hardest thing I've ever done. Jarod and I are doing a good job of remaining friends and trying to focus on what's best for London.

I need to say, again, though how thankful I am for my friends who have been there for me despite what may be going on in their lives and how far away they may live (love you Court!!!) I have lost a few friends because of this situation but it's been a good life lesson.

I have also been pretty lucky to meet some new friends! I am excited to see where these relationships go. I'm actually hanging out with a few of them soon and can't wait!

Happy Friday and Happy Halloween!

I can't wait to take London trick or treating! Here's a look at his first two Halloweens.

How was he ever that little!
Gah, time flies!!

Have a great weekend!
