The hashtags sum up our weekend. I couldn't think of a more appropriate title
for this post! :)

When I started telling my friends that Jarod and I were separating, Carrie and Melis didn't hesitate to start planning a much-needed girls weekend. Carrie immediately booked a flight and the countdown started. It was everything I knew it would be. We have been friends for 25 years and these girls know me so well. I can completely be myself around them.

Friday, I took the day off work and, Melissa and I headed to Calgary to pick Carrie up at the airport. After a quick shopping pit stop we were finally reunited!

We stopped for some lunch, more shopping and liquor. It was going to be one of those weekends (it's been about five years since I have been drunk!)

We spent the night catching up, in our pjs, and went to bed excited for a busy Saturday.

Saturday morning, we picked up London and headed for breakfast at Firestone and then an hour at a nearby park. I was sleeping at Melissa's all weekend but still wanted some time with my boy.

Then, the girls surprised me with a trip to a local spa! Local ladies, this place is amazing! The services, staff and facilities are incredible! I will be back!

Then, off to the mall for some last minute shopping and back to Melis' place to start getting ready.

We spent about two hours getting ready while listening to Backstreet Boys,  (obviously) having drinks and gossiping!

At 4:30, Melis' boyfriend Ian gave us a ride to our event for the night. We were going to a local Oktoberfest! I'll let the next seven hours be explained in photos....

It was honestly one of the best nights I've had in years! We ended up hanging out with a bunch of people we knew and it was such a great group! We ended the night at another local pub before catching a ride home. After some snacks, water and more gossip we headed to bed.

Carrie and I shared a room and were up at 7:30. We stayed in bed for a bit laughing a talking about the day/night before.

We surprisingly felt pretty good, hahaha!

Melis and Ian hosted a delicious brunch and we all ended up lazing around on the couch for hours chatting after. I could have stayed there all day.

Since it was nice, and Carrie's last day, we eventually got showered and changed and headed out for some coffee/snacks and a walk in the river bottom.

I honestly can't say thank you enough to these ladies, and so many others, for everything they've done the last few months. I am such a lucky girl!

Carrie and Melis, I love you girls so much. I can't wait until Phoenix ;)

Now... It's time to cuddle with my little boy who I missed so much!

I hope you had a great weekend!!
