A long run, an 80's concert and fireworks-- Weekend in Review

This weekend was awesome. Well, except for the very last bit. I'll get to that later...

I was supposed to go to a wedding for one of my girlfriends, in Edmonton, but sadly had to miss it! I hope your day was amazing Tina and Caillin!!

Friday, I headed to the Keg with my coworkers to celebrate our first week of live on location shows. I don't think I got any photos of us at supper (we were too busy chatting and eating) but here's the group (minus one!)

Since I missed the wedding I decided to sneak in to see my hairdresser Saturday. She's moving to Vancouver next week and, after four years together, I'm really going to miss her! She touched up my colour (it's always too dark at first) and cut some length off. I'm not sure how I feel about it but I needed a change :)

In the afternoon, my neighbourhood was having a free BBQ with games, face painting and a movie in the park. We only stuck around for about an hour and a half  but had a blast! The best part was jumping in puddles the whole way there and back!

Saturday night I headed to the fair for a night of great conversation, inside jokes, and laughs. It was so much fun! The 80s band (Helix) was great and the fireworks were a great end to the night! I love fireworks!

I got home around 1 and couldn't fall asleep until 2 then was up at 6. I'm too old for late nights but it was worth all the yawning today!

Sundays are Mama and London days so we spent the morning at Chapters/Starbucks eating, drinking, playing with trains and chasing other kids.

While London napped I squeezed in my longest run of the week- 7 miles. I had 13 planned but didn't have time. It was nice to give my legs a break this week.

From there, we were off to the park then a supper date.

It all went slightly downhill after bathtime at home when I discovered water pouring through the kitchen ceiling...

I'll end this post with a photo of London because, I'm slightly stressed about how much damage there is, and he makes me smile

Hope you had a great weekend!!

  1. I love your hair! Looks awesome
Sounds like you had a fun weekend. Good luck with your roof. I can kind of sympathize to much lesser extent, my toilet has been leaking and it's been going under the wall. Hopefully your situation doesn't end up being too costly. :(
