Vacation Starts & Half Marathon Training Recap

My weekend started on Friday. I took the day off as we were planning to leave around lunchtime for our 7 hour trip to Saskatchewan.

I squeezed in a quick 5K before we hit the road.

London finally passed out and, as the passenger, I caught up on some blog reading while we were driving.

After a quick trip for an early supper we arrived at our destination around 6:30. I unpacked our stuff and sat on the deck enjoying the view. This is where I planned to spend most of the next week.

I woke up Saturday and headed out for my planned long run. It was hot and muggy and definitely a little tough. I ended up pouring most of my carried water over my head to keep cool.

After some light stretching and some yoga by the water I made my way back to the cabin and spent the rest of the day reading.

I finished both books (I'm speedy) and then took London for a walk. He hadn't napped earlier so he fell asleep pretty fast. Stroller gets him everytime!

We had an awesome BBQ supper and celebrated my father-in-laws birthday before heading out for a boat ride.

This morning, I did a quick 2 mile run before London and I packed up and drove thirty minutes to my best friend's house!

Courtney and I have been friends for 10 years and she had a son, Brooks, two months after London was born. The boys picked up where they left off and spent the day playing hard!

It's always nice to spend quality time with Court. She is truly the best friend a girl could ask for.

We are staying here tomorrow and already have lots of fun planned for the boys (and us!)
