Weekend in Review

Wow, what a great weekend! This warm weather makes everything so much more fun!

My weekend kicked off with some AMAZING news! London was accepted in to our 1st choice for daycare!! The place is absolutely perfect. Somewhat structured, healthy home-cooked food, lots of room to play and on the smaller size compared to some! Plus, it's got incredible reviews and safety standards AND London's best buddy Roman goes there too! It's a great learning environment for him. My little sponge is going to be so happy there and I feel so comfortable with him going there. I'm so freakin' happy! I don't want my mom to leave but, because I know she has to, this is the next best thing!!

Friday night mom and I wanted to go out for supper to celebrate (Jarod was away Thursday-Sunday at his brother's University grad) but I came home to a very sick little little guy. He had a fever of 104!! I spent the night cuddling him while mom helped with everything around the house. She even ordered us supper!

Thankfully his fever broke overnight and he was back to his normal self Saturday. I left him with my mom for a couple hours so I could run Ladiesfest, an 8K race in Lethbridge. It went well and I was super proud of my time! Race recap HERE.

After the race London and I spent a few hours playing before naptime and then it was off to the park for some fun!

Then we drew on the driveway with chalk, had supper and headed out for ice cream. Since it was so nice out I decided to take the ice cream to another park where we ate and hung out playing for an hour.

This morning, London and I headed to Old Navy to pick up a balloon and then Starbucks for some treats.

I put him down for a nap early since we had a busy afternoon planned. We headed to a local baseball game with some people from work. It was a gorgeous day! London had a hot dog and fries and someone gave him a baseball. He was so happy!

After the ball game we headed for supper. Jarod was home and joined us! It was great to see him after a few days apart. London was his funny, cute, self and spent the night entertaining the entire patio of diners and fist pumping everyone, hahaha!

We have an exciting week ahead including swimming lessons, a movie date and a play date at the spray park! Life is good!

Be sure to stop back in tomorrow. I have a race giveaway coming your way! :)

How was your weekend?

    1. Honestly, word of mouth to begin with. Then you can go online (Alberta government website) and have a look at daycares and dayhomes that are licensed. It shows you any infractions they've had, when, and what they were. Then, I called every month for the last year making sure they knew I was interested (you're on a wait list!) Thankfully, a spot opened up!!!!!!
