Time To Get Dirty (Race Entry Giveaway!)

***Contest is now closed***

I'm part of a run club. There's about 10 of us who have a group on Facebook where we post about upcoming races and runs. We usually all sign up for the same races and sometimes even train together. It's great to have that support from other women. We may not always run together but we are there to encourage and cheer each other on!!!

I recently found out about a race series in the US that sounds like it would be a perfect fit for our run club. It's The Dirty Girl 5K Mud Obstacle Race.

According to their website, it "isn't about who finishes first. It's about embracing life's messes, celebrating its obstacles and helping ours mothers, daughters, sisters, and friends do the same."

The event is all about inspiring fabulous females to run, walk, climb, jump and laugh their way, hand in muddy hand, to an unabashed sense of accomplishment.  What started in just three cities in 2011 has now expanded to 25 across the United States!

The 12 obstacles are hilariously named "Utopian Tubes, PMS (Pretty Muddy Stuff) and Runaway Bride, to name a few. They are challenging but fun. You can try each one of walk around if you want. The event isn't timed.

The other REALLY cool thing is the organizers have partnered with "bright pink" for the events to empowering women to lead healthier, happier lives, as well as,encouraging and educating women to understand the signs, symptoms, and risk factors of breast and ovarian cancer. Dirty Girl gives out
300 complimentary registrations
to CANCER SURVIVORS at each event!! How cool is that?!
I was contacted, by organizers, to run one of the events but simply don't have a race budget left for this year after NYC. Bad news for me, good news for you! I'm giving one of YOU my race entry!!

To enter, leave me a comment saying which location you would like to sign up for and why you want to tackle the Dirty Girl 5K.

Good Luck! I'll select a winner on Friday.

You can find out more about Dirty Girl, and their locations, on their website www.godirtygirl.com

Disclaimer: I was offered the race entry in exchange for a blog post about the event. Opinions are my own

  3. I love mud runs, and I love the motto of the Dirty Girl Mud Runs! I'd do Cleveland, OH in August. It's awesome that you have a great running group - I've been looking for one. I usually run alone, and it'd be fantastic to have some runner friends to do events with!
