Things I'm Loving Friday XII (Another 1/2 Marathon & Giveaway Winner!!)

1. Stoked Oats

I thought I would never be able to eat a bowl of oatmeal again (had it every day for a YEAR while trying to increase my milk supply) until I discovered Stoked Oats. They're delicious and keep me full for longer than anything else I've tried. Even my sensitive (Crohns) stomach likes them before a long run! My favourite is Bucking-Eh Oats!

2. Sock Buns

Okay, I'm ridiculously late on this trend but I finally decided to try one before work the other day when I was running late/feeling lazy/rocking day 4 hair! They are super easy and a lot more professional than a ponytail-- score!!

3. Lunches/Coffee dates with my mom and London

My mom leaves in TWO weeks so I'm soaking up all my time with her and, that includes, using my free time at work to meet her and London. Yesterday, we had lunch on the patio at Firestone and it was delicious! We shared lettuce wraps and sweet potato fries. It was nice to see her for lunch since that'll change soon :(

4. These shoes

Had to have them for our trip to the cabin and the ocean (westcoast) this summer! They'll be perfect with his Bubble Guppies life jacket!

5. Blogging Buddies

Since deciding to make my blog public, a few months ago, I've "met" so many fabulous girls and guys from around the world....and a lot that live only a few hours away!! It's awesome to connect with others and very inspiring since so many of them (YOU) are runners too! It's hard to skip a run when you see so many posts and tweet about how awesome they feel after theirs! Ha Ha! Thanks everyone ;)

In September, a few of my blogger-turned-real-life friends are coming to Lethbridge to run the LRPS run with my run club ladies!! It's our own blogger meet up and you all should come!! There's a 5, 10 and half marathon option. It was actually my first half ever!! It's a nice route with one BIG DOWNhill! (woot woot!)

I registered for the half today. I don't have a training plan yet but London and I did five miles after work to start our un-official training!

And finally.... The winner of the Colour Me Rad entry is....

Pretty Little Grub

Congratulations!!

I'll be in touch soon with the details.

Thanks for entering. Stay tuned for another race giveaway soon....

What are you loving lately?
Any weekend plans? My mom and I may go to Calgary for the day. I am overdue for an Ikea and Target trip!

Have a great weekend!!!

    1. Thank you!! It's made me reconsider chopping my hair hahaha! I cheated and picked up one of those sock bun "things" at H and M a few weeks ago so that helped!

Have a GREAT weekend too!! :)

  4. Love the sock bun on you! I have never tried it and right now my hair is too short, but I wear a ponytail way too much when my hair is long.
SO excited for the race in September!!!

  5. Those oats look good!
I used to do sock buns all the time last summer! Such a cute and easy hair style.
    I'm looking forward to September!!!

  6. I'm going to have to look into these oats. I love oats. They are my go-to before a run or workout! Do you have to buy them somewhere special? I have never seen them before
