Rain, Rain, Go Away! Plus, a 4 miler

It's 10 o'clock and I am finally signing off work and unplugging for the night (once I hit publish on this post of course!)

Our city, and surrounding communities, are at risk of serious flooding. I've been covering the updates from the city all day. Some officials are saying it could be as bad as it was in 1995 (the worst flooding in the city's history!) I feel terrible for the people who are already experiencing flooding in their homes. I am exhausted, after a long day, but it is nothing compared to what they are going through!

I was able to take a supper break tonight. I used the time to squeeze in a 4 mile run and hang out with the family. I had plans to take London to swimming lessons and tackle T25 but neither happened. I'm happy I was able to run though!

I wore my pro compression socks for the first time, in a long time, and loved them! I forgot how good they make my calves feel both during and after a run! I also love the movie "Pitch Perfect" and it made for a great distraction since I was forced to run on the treadmill.

In between flooding updates I also organized our spare room. We are moving our guest room to the basement and mom was kind enough to give us her old bed and frame. I still need to decorate, and have a DIY project with that night stand on the agenda, but I'm happy with it so far!

Who's coming to visit me? ;)

Anyway, I'm off bed! The river is expected to peak tomorrow or early Thursday so it's going to be a crazy 24-48 hours at work!

Have a great night!
