Weekend Recap

What a great weekend!

As I mentioned, I had a long weekend because I took Friday off so my mom could go to Vegas for her birthday.

Saturday we had our traditional big yummy breakfast before heading out to run some errands. I picked up my favourite salad from Costco and splurged on a mini pie and delicious Almond Butter at the farmer's market.

We stopped at a playground on the way home. It was a bit soggy from some overnight rain but luckily I always carry a blanket around with me!!

Then it was off to pick up lunch at a Charity BBQ for Crohns and ulcerative Colitis. IBD runs in my family and I've met lots of people through the foundation and volunteering!

After naptime we headed out for a bike ride to another park. I skipped my run to watch girly movies and needed to get outside!

It was so fun but we had to run home because it started raining!

The rain quickly turned to SNOW!!! So, we spent the rest of the afternoon/evening at home.

Today was Mother's Day! London have me the best gift-- he slept in until 7:15!! Jarod made me breakfast and then it was off to Shoppers to pick up a card (he hadn't got one yet lol!) and some medicine since London and I both have a cold. Unfortunately, I took some NIGHT TIME cold pills by mistake and was feeling totally out of it for most of the morning/early afternoon.

Jarod and I watched a movie and lazed around while London slept and then we all decided to head outside. I was supposed to run 12 miles today but didn't. I haven't followed this training plan like I did for NYC (only missed one run in 12 weeks) but that's okay! I'm still feeling comfortable with the distance and am not expecting a PR!

Jarod pumped up the tires on his bike and rode beside me while I ran with London in the BOB. He also pumped up the BOB tires and OMG what a difference it made!!! I really should have done that sooner!!

We ended up running for 4.5 miles (with a quick stop at Macs for a drink and great. The best part was... I ran my fastest 4 miles in ages! Woot Woot!

When we came home we played in the driveway for a bit and talked to our neighbours. Then, London and I played on the deck while Jarod cooked us a delicious chicken supper!!

We finished the night with a trip to DQ and some playtime in London's playroom (this kid has a ridiculous amount of books!!)

London has pushed back him bedtime lately so this beer that Jarod picked up was a perfect end to a wonderful weekend!!

Hope you had a great weekend!!
