Our Weekend

Our weekend started early Friday afternoon. Jarod and I got off early to take London for his 18 month immunization. We had to fill out a questionnaire to see "where he is at" developmentally and the nurse said he's right on track!

Then it was time to get weighed and measured...

He's 30 pounds (93rd percentile) and 34.2 inches (95th percentile.)

There was only one shot this time and London did great. No crying!

We had to wait for 20 minutes after to make sure there was no allergic reaction. London obviously felt fine and spent the time being a little monkey ;)

We came home and I discovered my mom had made a Costco trip and picked me up a few goodies! She is the best!

It was nice out (only a little windy) so we sat on the deck for a bit before skyping with Jarod's parents and calling it a night around 9 (we were all still feeling a bit blah!)

Saturday, we all slept in until 7 and then took our time getting ready. My legs were not feeling great! Very numb and tingly so I took a few extra minute stretching them out. When I got up, Jarod and London played downstairs while I worked on a new project for the toy room.

He'll be drawing on it in no time so I may as well enjoy it now!

We headed to Toys R Us to buy some baby gifts for our close friends Jordan and Tina, who are expecting in June (so exciting!!!)

We really wanted to buy them a  video baby monitor (we love ours!!) but it was out of stock so we found a few other items (I don't want to spoil it.) we also picked up a few toddler-sized chairs for London and his friends to use outside on the deck! I'm just a little excited about warmer weather!!

Then, we went to the mall to search for a Spring jacket for London. There wasn't a lot out there but we ended up finding one at Children's Place and it was 30% off.. Score! He'll probably wear his leather most days since he loves it (and I do too!) but he needed something to get messy in!

We grabbed a smoothie from Booster Juice, walked around the mall for a bit then headed home for lunch and a nap.

Saturday afternoon I met up with Melissa. To be honest, I'm depressed I can't run right now. Running is my happy thing. The endorphins are amazing. I always finish happy and proud. Plus, the weather was beautiful. I needed some girl time to feel better about it and just forget about it!

We headed to the park to chat and watch London run around. Melissa and I have been friends for 20+ years so even if we haven't seen each other for a few weeks, it's easy to pick right up where we left off!

London and I headed to the grocery store, played outside with Jarod's hockey sticks for a bit then headed inside for supper. I picked us up a special dessert of angel food cake and cool whip with berries which he LOVED! It was a nice treat for our mommy/son day.

After supper, and some playing, I put on Frozen. London only watched about 10 minutes but I watched the rest after bed. It was so cute! I was in bed by 1030.

Something AMAZING happened this morning ... London and I slept in until 8!!! Miracle! I can't remember the last time either of us slept that late.

We had a big breakfast then bundled up for a walk around the neighbourhood. It wasn't too cold but the wind was chilly. We ended up at the park and played for about half an hour.

After the park and lunch, London went down for a nap and Jarod and I watched "The Delivery Man." It was okay... good for a few laughs! PS I love how he STILL falls asleep with his hand down my shirt! And, how cute is his baby from Auntie Courtney?

Sunday was also spent catching up on laundry... He's such a big help! ;)

We all played hockey in the driveway before we headed back to the park with my friend Nicole, her husband TJ and their son Roman.

It was a gorgeous night so we sat out on the deck (in tshirts!!!) Jarod bbq'ing supper, we skyped Grandma and I wrapped up the night on bath duty (London loves the new colour bath bombs from Tawnya!)

Oh, and we also took the baby gates down! Honestly, we were leaving them open a lot anyway and London likes to be where we are anyway. I love it!

Although I was sad I wasn't running, I am glad I got to spend so much time with my family and friends!

What a great weekend!!
