Feeling Squishy

No running + Eating like I'm training = Squishy Kaella. I've packed on a few pounds and my clothes are a little tighter lately. Yes, I'm one of those people who weigh myself. I don't obsess over the number but I like to know where I'm at. I find clothes make more of a difference than the number most of the time. Even Jarod noticed tonight. He wasn't being mean, I asked his opinion, haha!

I'm not feeling "great" about my body right now. I know there are bigger things to worry about but I'm just putting it out there because, well, this is my blog and I am writing about what's on my mind lol!

The GOOD news is my heel feels great and I will be running soon! (Sidenote: I realize there are other things in like besides running but nothing I LOVE as much!)

Today was crazy at work. I had no time for breaks or lunch or a bathroom trip. I went straight from work to London's first swimming lesson of the year. We pulled up to the pool and he said "splash, splash!" Smarty pants! He loved it and was kicking up a storm.

We came home to a sushi supper and then headed out for a walk with a pit stop at Tawnya's. Feel better Scarlett!!

When we got home it was bath time to wash off all that chlorine. He got
undressed, pulled out his potty, sat on it and.... PEED!!!! His first time! It totally could have been a fluke but it was crazy!
I was too shocked to grab my camera but I did get some shots of him being silly after. He also apparently knows what a circle is, and can say it, now. Who is this kid?! They grow up so fast!

Sidenote: we haven't been pushing potty training but we do talk about it a lot. I figure he'll let us know when he's ready... I have read zero research about this topic so I'm just going with the flow!

Of course... "He" had to call everyone and brag after ;)

Tomorrow should be a fun day! My boss and I are carpooling to work and hoping to ride our bikes home (about 10 miles!) Time to feel good about myself again and help my pants fit a bit better :)

  1. Girlfriend, I totally get this. Try 3 months of zero exercise and currently no end in sight! It is rough!! I refuse to get on the scale because I just don't want to know, I do know that my clothes are fitting tighter though and my stomach is not what it was 6 months ago!

If it makes you feel better I don't notice any change in you, and I think you look as gorgeous as ever! I hope things continue to heal up for you and you can hit the pavement again! xoxox

  2. For the record I still think you look great!

  3. I'm in the same boat as you. Feeling squishy since I stopped running (stupid injuries!). Mine also prevents me from doing lots of movements (no lunges, squats, etc), so coming up with different workouts is getting difficult! Your little guy is adorable :)

  4. I think you look great! And while I totally know the feeling, I'm sure nobody else notices. I am struggling to loose some extra tummy inches still, but my running and nursing hunger doesn't help!
